A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also had them long enough that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Where were you able to get your pair?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.
Placed my order on April 28th and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick which was a major plus
How much do they go for?
Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
Golden Goose sneakers typically cost anywhere between $410 and $1,700, depending on how customized men’s golden goose they are.
Are they true to size?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.
Since they keep their shape and half sizes aren’t available, I’d choose the larger option.
Are they comfortable?
Very comfy, and only took a few hours to break in..
How durable are they?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is unique. And the sparkle on mine? Stunning.
Are they worth it?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I chose a loud pair, but a minimalist version would also go with everything.

Do they fit as expected?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me. They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Are they comfortable?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they reduce sweat. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in synthetic materials. Also, they’re already distressed so your feet just get comfortable fast.
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid.
Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
